Every year, the Hildebrand Project hosts a summer seminar at Franciscan University of Steubenville, located just forty minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, to introduce academics, students, and others to the philosophical legacy of Dietrich von Hildebrand and Christian Personalism. These seminars bring Hildebrand into conversation both with the philosophical tradition and with contemporary thinkers.
This year’s seminar is devoted to Love, Sex, and the Human Person. It will take place over four days, from May 29-June 3, and will introduce attendees to the major insights, not just of Hildebrand but also of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, Edith Stein, and the broader Judeo-Christian tradition. Special sessions will include The Metaphysics of Gender, Contemporary Thinkers, and a course for teachers on A Pedagogical Approach to Love and Responsibility.
Attendance is by application. Students, scholars, practitioners, and other interested parties may apply by visiting www.hildebrandproject.org/events.
Scholarships are available based on need and merit. The deadline to apply for scholarships is April 15; the deadline to apply without financial assistance is April 30.
