Reading Group: Deleuze and the Horror Film

6 Dec

READING GROUP:

Reading group announcement: next Spring we will be seeking to unpack the notorious obfuscator Jacques Lacan — particularly as he has been picked up by philosophy — with a series entitled “Lacan Demystified.” Be sure to join us again on Monday nights starting in late January.

8b400883bc91c553dfafc3eb9cdbe75ed106ffce66552025a2902fa9648c604eJoin us tomorrow (Monday) night at 8:00pm as we continue our Fall series, “PHILOSOPHY and HORROR,” with a discussion of excerpts from Anna Powell’s Deleuze and the Horror Film, pp. 1-11, 154-174.

As always, the text is available as a pdf HERE.

We will be meeting at 3929 Cabinet Way, Pittsburgh (BYOB) until we can establish a more permanent location.

As a reminder, even though we have moved to thematic groups, there is no expectation that people participate in every week, so even if you can’t commit to the whole Fall, you are still more than welcome to join us when you can.
