PCPN is excited about our winter/spring session looking at Continental Readings of Early Modern Philosophy. This Winter and Spring, on alternating weeks we will examine key early modern philosophers, and more recent continental theorists who have used, interpreted, or rethought these earlier traditions.

This week:

  • 02/06 – Hobbes, selection from Leviathan, “Of Man” 9–42, Chs. 1-7

Pdfs of the readings can be found: HERE

Time: 8:00pm-10:00pm
Location: Bloomfield Crazy Mocha (4525 Liberty Ave).

As a reminder, even though we have moved to thematic groups, there is no expectation that people participate in every week, so even if you can’t commit to the whole section, you are still more than welcome to join us when you can.

OTHER EVENTS THIS WEEK:

  • 02/17/17, 4:00 pm – The Phenomenology of Max Scheler: In Relation to Critical Theory and Metaethics; Simon Silverman Center, Gumberg Library, Duquesne University
